506 new virus cases

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 506 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, 226 males and 280 females, from the 1 656 tests carried out on Monday, April 25.

The cases comprised 104 people under the age of 18, and 402 who were 18 years and older.

There were 90 people in isolation facilities, while 3 330 were in home isolation.

As at April 25, a total of 390 deaths related to COVID-19 were recorded.

The public health laboratory has conducted 644 046 tests since February 2020, and recorded 68 440 COVID-19 cases (31 476 males and 36 964 females).

Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, the total number of people with at least one dose is 161 673 (70.8 per cent of the eligible population).  The total number of fully-vaccinated people is 151 844 (56 per cent of the total population or 66.5 per cent of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents people who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
