An audit has been ordered on the operations of the Transport Board.
This was one of the major decisions coming out of a high-level meeting Friday evening at the Barbados Workers’ Union’s (BWU) Solidarity House headquarters.
It was led by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Works Santia Bradshaw, and other Government officials with management of the Transport Board to discuss a number of issues.
Sources told the Sunday Sun the meeting, which lasted more than three hours, also included representatives of the United Commercial Autoworks Limited; United Transport Cooperative (UTC), which is part of the Transport Augmentation Programme (TAP), and employees of the Transport Board. All of them are represented by the BWU and general secretary Toni Moore and consultant to the union Sir Roy Trotman were also in attendance. (MB)
