COVID-19 Update for June 19

Fifty-one new COVID-19 cases, 25 males and 26 females, were recorded from the 312 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Sunday, June 19.

Of the positive cases, 12 people were under the age of 18, and 39 were 18 years and older.

The number of people in isolation facilities was 24, while 993 were in home isolation. As at June 19, there were 472 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 697 788 tests since February 2020, and recorded 82 950 COVID-19 cases (37 794 males and 45 156 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 534 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population). The number of fully vaccinated is 153 257 (56.5 per cent of the total population or 67.1 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
