COVID-19 Update for June 30

There were 141 new COVID-19 cases, 70 females and 71 males, recorded on Thursday, June 30, from the 576 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Of the positive cases, 15 people were under the age of 18, and 126 were 18 years and older.

The number of people in isolation facilities was 130, while 1 165 were in home isolation.

As at June 30, there were 477 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 705 450 tests since February 2020, and recorded 84 562 COVID-19 cases (38 702 males and 45 860 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 619 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population). The number of fully vaccinated is 153 520 (56.6 per cent of the total population or 67.2 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
