Weather forecasters have warned that high temperatures will persist in Barbados for the remainder of September and the greater part of October.

In a weather bulletin on Monday, the Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) reminded the public that “September and October are climatologically the warmest months of the year” in the island.

“Very warm conditions in Barbados are expected to persist,” the bulletin stated. “Maximum temperatures across the island have been peaking between 32 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius, particularly in the urban areas, which is normal during this period.”

Forecasters added that the public should continue to monitor the daily forecast of maximum temperatures from the BMS.
