Man held for murder of Trotman

Police said on Wednesday they have held a man in connection with the death of Rommel Trotman.

According to a police statement, personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department at Central Police Station and the Major Crime Unit arrested and formally charged Henry Depeiza Lewis, 25, of no fixed place of abode for the murder of Trotman.

The police statement added that Lewis was also charged for:

Possession of a firearm on September 6

Possession of ammunition on September 6

Two counts of endangering the life of Raheim Forde on September 4

Theft of money on August 12; and

Theft of handbag and contents on August 13.

Trotman, 43, of Redman’s Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael was shot and killed on August 6 in the same district.

Lewis was scheduled to appear in the District “A” Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
