The biggest party in cricket left the field and ended on the streets of Guyana.

Cricket action in this year’s Hero Caribbean Premier (CPL) climaxed on David Street, Georgetown, on Sunday when thousands of the revellers turned up to play mas for close to six hours in the first ever edition of the Cricket Carnival.

Locals and tourists also lined the streets and took up every possible vantage point to get a glimpse of masqueraders in colourful costumes and take in some of their favourite soca music.

Hit songs from Machel Montano, Rupee, Edwin Yearwood and Krosfyah were heard. (AGB)
