Hundreds gathered at the National Botanical Gardens, Waterford, St Michael, earlier Sunday evening for the 2022 Nation Funathlon.

Runners, walkers, and skaters were among the participants eager to welcome back the calendar event, being held for the first time in two years.

The route took them from the Waterford starting point, to Green Hill, Warrens and the ABC Highway before circling back onto Waterford.

This is the first time since 2019 that the event is making a return and proceeds will benefit the Barbados Sea Turtle Project and the Walkers Institute for Regenerative Research.

Organisers said almost 3 000 people took part in the event. (TG)
