Murder accused Romell Cummins initially told police he dropped a friend to the MV Dream Chaser, left and did not return.

However, when questioned further by police, he admitted he shot Dave Archer “at point blank” range because the security officer was beating his friends.

This was the testimony of Sergeant Michael Ifill, who told the No. 3 Supreme Court he conducted investigations into the murder on board the boat.

He said he went to the office of the MV Buccaneer and was given a DVD.

Ifill continued that on June 13, 2019, he saw Cummins at the Criminal Investigations Department and told him he had reason to believe he shot Archer. He asked the accused to account for his whereabouts. (HLE)
