Significant efforts are being made to increase the ranks of the Barbados Cadet Corps.

That message was clear on Saturday during a passing out parade at Harrison College where 517 cadets were inducted.

The newest cadre of cadets was welcomed following what was arguably the biggest passing out parade since the inception of Central Recruiting, with Intake 1/2022 at Harrison College, Crumpton Street, The City campus.

During his welcome remarks, Major Alfred Taylor, executive officer of the Cadet Corps, hinted that this year could be the last of the BCC’s Central Recruiting as they moved to return training to the various secondary schools.

“The Barbados Cadet Corps is on a deliberate trajectory for growth. The reception of 500-plus cadets into the ranks of the Barbados Cadet Corps today [Saturday] is indicative of the strong rebound of the Corps after the challenges of COVID-19,” he said. (TG)
