Self-confessed murderer Dave Fedel Aristide James yesterday apologised to the family of popular fish vendor Stephen “Molly” Small, saying he hoped they would forgive him for “taking their loved one”.

James, of Wavell Gardens, Black Rock, St Michael, and Church Village, St Philip, and Verena Isilma Vasilka Cuffy, of Wavell Gardens, Black Rock, St Michael, were back in the No. 4 Supreme Court.

The two had originally been arraigned with murdering Small, a popular boat owner and fish vendor formerly of Henley, St John, on September 7, 2018.

Cuffy pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to manslaughter, while James pleaded guilty to non-capital murder. (HLE)
