Two plead guilty to carjacking

Two men who confessed to robbing a woman of her car and trying to rob a man of his chain on the same night, will be back in the No. 4 Supreme Court tomorrow.

Dario Devon Drayton, of Turton Gap, Gittens Road, Government Hill, and Romario Saniel Maloney, of Monroe Road, Haggatt Hall, both in St Michael, had pleaded guilty to robbing Danielle Bullen of a car, her Barbados identification card, cell phone, a bag, purse and $1 500, all valued at $33 093, on July 7, 2017.

They also confessed to assaulting Julian Lashley with intent to rob him on July 7, 2017.

Maloney was represented by attorneys Frederick Alleyne and Fay Burke, while Senior State Counsel Oliver Thomas and State Counsel Anastacia McMeo-Boyce appeared for the State.

Drayton was unrepresented. (HLE)
