Rebranded BMEX looking outside

After 39 years of existence, the annual trade show known as BMEX (Barbados Manufacturers’ Exhibition) has been given a new name.

Yesterday, the Barbados Manufacturers’ Association (BMA) launched its rebranded Trade and Innovation Expo (TIE), at Banks Holdings Limited’s conference room in Newton, Christ Church.

BMA executive director Shardae Boyce said they are placing renewed emphasis on connecting Barbadian manufacturers with markets beyond local shores.

This year’s event will be held at the Gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex and over 250 exhibitors are expected. BMEX has traditionally been held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre. (CLM)
