A 39-year-old primary school teacher was remanded to Dodds Prisons on a charge of indecently assaulting one of his former pupils, an 11-year-old boy.

David Seon Griffith, of St Leonard’s Avenue, Westbury Road, St Michael, appeared before Magistrate Deborah Beckles on Wednesday where he was not required to plead to the indictable offence of indecently assaulting the boy on July 22.

The incident allegedly occurred on the last day of school last term.

The magistrate remanded the teacher until October 4, when he will reappear at the District “D” Magistrates’ Court.

He was represented by attorney Neville Reid. (MB)
