After a break during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the St Peter Give Thanks concert returned under the patronage of Member of Parliament for St Peter, Colin Jordan, and Mrs Charmaine Jordan.
This gospel event, which brings together the talent and ministry in singing, instrumental and dance from churches within the parish, was last held on February 1, 2020 as part of We Gathering.
A crowd gathered at the Alexandra School hall recently and the enduring Gospel Comforters, who have been around since 1971, got things off to a great start. They were followed by Michael Lucas with a song called This Is My Desire.
The French Village Pentecostal House of Prayer chorale, whose renditions are always uplifting, did two songs which included Oh, I Want To See Him.
Guess artiste Nikhyl Burnett from the Advent Avenue SDA Church, lifted those gathered on the saxophone with two renditions, Find Us Faithful and My Redeemer Lives.
Bringing some energy in the first half were the Christ is the Answer Family Church choir, with two pieces, Psalm 34 and Now I’m On My Way.
Minister Kim Griffith from Kingdom Life Ministries kept the standard high as she ministered in song, Let the worshippers rise and I can only imagine.
Other artistes included, The Headley Family, All Saints Church Sunday School, Ravon Ramsay, Denise Greenidge, Speightstown Church of the Nazarene choir and Sharon Lucas.

Sharon Lucas (GP)It was truly an evening of praise and thankfulness to God for his goodness by all who performed, and those who attended left filled with joy and gladness.
It was a free concert, but offering was collected to assist the Maurice Byer Polyclinic. Over the years, donations to the polyclinic include a television, podium, outdoor table, benches and signage. (PR)
