Drowning at Brandons

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the drowning of Keith Evelyn Beckles 80 years of #3 Bluebell Drive, Husbands, S.t James whose unresponsive body was discovered floating in the area of the Water Park along Brandons Beach, St. Michael about 9:19 am on Monday 18th September 2023.

Beckles was at the beach with a group of friends. After a while, the water became choppy and they got into difficulty, resulting in persons on the beach going to their assistance. A check was made and it was discovered that Mr. Beckles was missing. His body was retrieved and brought to shore by Coast Guard personnel.  A Medical Doctor pronounced death and a family member identified the body.(PR)
