COVID cases falling

Barbados’ COVID-19 statistics are trending in the right direction according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health and Wellness covering the period October 14 to 27.

There were 436 tests, up from 405 over the previous two weeks, but there were only ten new cases, compared to 24 from September 30 to October 13.

Three deaths were recorded, compared to four before, while the number in hospital remained the same, at two.

Overall, Barbados has recorded 110 269 COVID-19 cases from 811 288 tests, comprising 49 696 men and 60 573 women.

Total deaths stand at 648. (SAT)
