COVID dashboard every four weeks

The COVID-19 dashboard statistics will now be issued every four weeks instead of fortnightly.

Explaining the rationale behind the move, Chief Medical Officer, The Most Honourable Dr Kenneth George, said: “In recent times transmission levels have remained consistently low. There are no current hospitalisations and current circulating strains are less virulent.”

George reminded the public that COVID-19 was an infectious disease and could still result in severe outcomes. He therefore urged people to practise good respiratory and hand hygiene.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness, he said, would continue to monitor the landscape of COVID-19 and update the public as needed.

The last published dashboard, which covered the period October 14 – 27, 2023, was issued on October 30, 2023. (PR/SAT)
