The Barbados senior women’s national team steps onto the field this evening with victory in sight as they conclude the final chapter of their 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup qualifying campaign against St Vincent and Grenadines at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

Playing as the away team, the Lady Tridents come into this evening’s game on the back of a 7-1 humbling last Friday by the Dominican Republic, who go up against Bermuda at home later tonight for the top spot in Group C of League B.

The Vincentians come into the game the fresher of the two after their scheduled game away to Bermuda last Friday was cancelled due to travel issues.

They suffered a 3-0 default defeat to the group leaders but will also be hoping to conclude the group phase on a positive note despite losing all five games so far while conceding 24 goals. They are also yet to score in the competition.   (NM)
