Man assisting with Culloden robbery

A man is in custody assisting police with a robbery which occurred earlier Thursday at Culloden Road, St Michael.

Police public affairs and communications officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss, said they received the report of a robbery in progress around 11:40 a.m.

The victims were two women, ages 71 and 65. One was robbed of a chain and bracelet and sustained injuries to her hand, wrist and neck.

Three men were reportedly involved in the incident near the National Insurance Department, part of which was captured on video and made the rounds on social media.

Police investigations are continuing. (PR/SAT)
