St John’s, Antigua – Antigua and Barbuda’s renowned international soca artiste, Ricardo Drue, died at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre after he had been unconscious and unresponsive at midday (local time) on Tuesday.
The cause of death has not been made public.
Drue dominated the Soca Monarch and Road March competitions here and had a large following across the region. He was engaged to Trinidad and Tobago soca sensation Patrice Roberts.
Among his hit tunes were Vagabond and Professional. (CMC)
