The National Petroleum Corporation is continuing work on a suspected gas leak at Tudor Street, The City.

A team of technicians was dispatched to the area after a report was received around 11 a.m. Tuesday. The portable methane detector indicated there was a small trace of methane in the atmosphere.

To pinpoint the possible leak, the roadway was excavated, further tests were conducted and the gasline was isolated and capped off from the main supply grid for safety. (PR/SAT)
