A woman who manages a restaurant was released on bail on a wounding charge when she appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court.

Nicola Tamara George-McCool, 40, of Golden Castle, Rendezvous, Christ Church, was not required to plead to unlawfully wounding Kannesha McClean with intent on December 23.

Prosecutor Sergeant Randolph Boyce, who objected to her release on bail, said the complainant was still in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after having undergone surgery.

He added he feared that if granted bail, George-McCool, a Jamaican national who had no ties to the island, would abscond. (HLE)
