Wales draw after a scare

Star-studded Wales had to show the stuff champions are made of as they came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against FVFC Femeni when action in the Barbados Football Association Women’s Super League resumed on Sunday at Valery in Brittons Hill.

In the nightcap, another highly fancied outfit, Paradise Club, were held to a 2-2 draw by RF Prime.

Battling a deplorable outfield that slowed up the ball tremendously, the ladies from Fitts Village took an early lead in the 23rd minute thanks to Ciara Blackman-Oliver.

That put Wales on the back foot and FVFC maintained their 1-0 advantage going into the second half. (ML)
