Deputy Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw says she plans to sue those who have defamed her over allegations she received a $7 500 cheque from a civil engineering entity.

“Let me tell wunna straight, no $7 500 can make me a fool,” she said while addressing her Barbados Labour Party St Michael South East branch meeting at Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary School on Sunday.

Bradshaw said she had not broken any law and intended to hold accountable people who defamed her.

“I want you to understand that those who took to the call-in programmes trying to defame my character and discredit my reputation have received the pre-action letter for the lawsuit to be dropped in their tail. And I want to make it clear this evening, let them keep talking because everyone that talks, the letter is going to come . . . . I am not the one, I want that to be clear.”
