The Lester Vaughan School was closed this afternoon, after several teachers did not report to the school, or, were otherwise unavailable for other reasons. One contributing factor was a senior class trip, which required a few teachers to accompany the students.
While there were a few teachers already out on sick leave, today’s absences put further strain on the already limited teaching complement, and the decision was taken to close the school after lunch.
The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational training will advise parents and guardians of the status of school tomorrow, February 08 2024.
