Emergency officials are attempting to recover what appears to be a body at Carmichael, St George.
Police public affairs and communications officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss, told The Nation there has been the sighting of a body in a well.
The area is poorly lighted but teams from the Barbados Fire Service and the Barbados Police Service are on the scene. More lights were recently brought to the area.
The scene is just off the roadway on the right side of the roadway going in a southerly direction from the Turnpike junction.
At this time, there is no identity of the person.
