Due to environmental conditions, the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training took the decision to allow for the early closure of two primary schools today.

Smokey conditions from a nearby fire prevented St. Ambrose Primary in St. Michael from opening this morning, and similar conditions brought an early end to classes at Welches Primary in Thomas.

The Ministry will continue to monitor these conditions and advise on the status of the schools at the earliest opportunity.
