The Ministry of Transport and Works advises road users that excavation will begin tonight, Thursday, May 23, between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on an undermined section of road at the junction of Aquatic Gap and Upper Bay Street in St. Michael.

The area has been cordoned off, and a crew from C.O. Williams Construction will carry out the work. A team from MTW will conduct further investigations to rectify the road.

Roadworks are also being conducted along this section of Highway 7 under the Accelerated Mill and Pave Programme. Therefore, motorists are urged to proceed with caution and use alternate routes where possible. (PR/MTW)
