It was a dramatic start to the first match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s T20 World Cup tonight.
The first two balls of the Group B contest between ICC associate nations Namibia and Oman produced wickets.

Before the contest got going, those in the stands were treated to a brief medley of songs from entertainer Edwin Yearwood, and the crowd also watched the two teams emerge onto the field through a small pyrotechnics display.

Despite the absence of a bumper crowd, some of the spectators were just happy to be there for the first ball.
