Police are looking for 19-year-old Rashad Kangalee, of McClean Road, Silver Sands, Christ Church, who escaped their custody on Sunday, while at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), without the use of force.

Kangalee, who was being held in connection with a series of serious matters, went to the Accident & Emergency Department of the QEH in the custody of a police officer. He requested to use the bathroom and, while doing so, escaped through a window in the bathroom. Assistance was called and searches were made of the area but Kangalee was not found.

Police have appealed to anyone who has seen the escapee or has any knowledge of where he might be hiding, to call police emergency 211 or any police station, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.

They are reminding the public that it is an offence to harbour any wanted person or escaped prisoner. (MB)
