Four Jamaicans accused of breaking into their friend’s house and threatening him with bodily harm were remanded when they appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Ashamin Joe Bennett, 36, a baker, of Browne’s Gap, Jackson; Rondrae Ricardo Herron, 30, a baker, also of Browne’s Gap, Jackson; Garry Everal Walker, a 35-year-old baker, of Small Gap, Bridge Gap, and Dujohn Briscoe, 34, a labourer, of Port Road, My Lord’s Hill, all in St Michael, were not required to plead to entering Gregory Hamilton’s house on August 24 with intent to do grievous bodily harm
to him.
Bennett was solely charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding Nyron Hamilton, while Herron and Walker were not required to plead to assaulting Nyron Hamilton on August 24.
Prosecutor Sergeant Randolph Boyce objected to the four being released, saying they were Jamaican nationals. He said Briscoe had been issued a work permit which had since expired.
