The Barbados Meteorological Services is closely monitoring the progress of Tropical Depression #7, located near Barbados. The system is approximately 2,666 kilometres (1,656 miles) to the east of Barbados.

At present, no watches or warnings are in effect for Barbados, and the tropical depression is forecasted to track northeast of the island into next week, posing no direct threat.

However, residents are advised that the system’s presence in the region will extend a period of light wind speeds, resulting in uncomfortably warm days and potential heat stress into the coming week.

Environmental conditions remain conducive for slow development of the system. While no direct impacts are expected, localized afternoon showers may occur as light winds persist over the next few days.

The next update on Tropical Depression #7 is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, 13th September.
