Police investigating suspected murder following domestic dispute

Police from the Southern Division responded to a residence at Emerald Park West, St. Philip, after receiving a report this morning about a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.

An early report from police stated that a female was believed to be dead at the scene. Upon arrival, officers were pointed to an area of the residence where the motionless body of a female was found.

The police report also stated that one male is assisting with investigations into this matter. It also added that the man allegedly ingested a poisonous substance and was transported to the hospital for medical attention.

Investigations are ongoing.
