St. Luke’s Brighton Primary School was closed today after reports of a strong odour led to health concerns among students and staff.

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training made the decision to close the school after complaints emerged of symptoms such as burning eyes, itchy throats, itchy skin, and a bitter taste in the mouth.

According to the Ministry, students and staff were relocated to a nearby car park as officials arrived on-site to assess the situation. After further consultation, the decision was made to close the school for the remainder of the day, and parents were notified to collect their children.

In a statement, the Ministry apologised for the disruption and any inconvenience caused by the closure, expressing hope that any discomfort experienced by those affected would be quickly alleviated.

Further updates will be provided as it comes to hand.
