Today, the streets of Caracas are a vibrant tapestry of colour and sound as thousands of Venezuelans gathered to celebrate the eve of President Nicolás Maduro’s third term inauguration. The air is electric with anticipation, as the city’s main thoroughfares are transformed into a festive arena, free from the usual hustle and bustle of traffic.

The voices of performers are ringing out with songs of Venezuelan patriotism, stirring the crowd into a fervour of national pride. The streets are awash with the bright hues of yellow, blue, and red, as citizens and soldiers alike waved their flags high.
