A 43-year-old woman died in a single car accident along the KNR Husbands Highway at its junction with Chapel Street, Speightstown, St Peter.
The vehicle was in a collision with a utility pole around 3:30 p.m. today.
The name of the deceased is still to be released.
Police blocked the roadway due to power lines across the carriageway and investigations have commenced.
