Victim identified in shooting incident

Police have identified the man whose body was discovered along Bamboo Road, St. Lawrence, Christ Church, on Thursday.

The deceased has been confirmed as 32-year-old Obrian Jerome Dixson of Bamboo Road, St. Lawrence.

Authorities responded to a report made to the Operations Control Room around 9:05 a.m. and found Dixson’s motionless body along the roadway.

Ambulance personnel confirmed there were no signs of life, and a medical doctor later pronounced him dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that Dixson’s death followed an altercation involving a group of men.

Two other men sustained injuries during the incident and were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
