Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) dominated the afternoon session on Day One of their regional four-day first-class match against Barbados at Kensington Oval.

Having navigated to lunch at 93-3 after choosing to bat first, opener Damel Evelyn and former West Indies international Kieran Powell produced an unbeaten 110-run partnership to sit comfortably on 208-3 at the tea interval.

Evelyn was the star of the show so far for CCC after raising his maiden first-class century with a well-timed cover drive for a boundary off the spin bowling of Roston Chase. The right-hander hit ten boundaries and three sixes on his way to 105 not out, having survived a missed stumping on 97 runs. At the other end, Powell is unbeaten on 44 runs, with five boundaries and a six.
