Man fatally shot in Carrington Village

A man was fatally shot on Monday night along Quakers Road, Carrington Village, St. Michael.

The Police Operations Control Room received a report at 10:46 p.m. indicating that the victim had been shot and was lying motionless in the area.

Preliminary investigations revealed that he had been sitting outside a shop when he was approached by an assailant. An argument ensued between the two before a series of gunshots were heard. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and arm before collapsing to the ground, while the assailant walked away.

A medical doctor later pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
