Update – Two brothers from Vauxhall, Christ Church, have pleaded guilty to drug-related charges and have been granted bail ahead of sentencing.

Michael Vincent Edward Farnum, 36, and Richard Edward Farnum, 34, both of 1st Avenue, Vauxhall, appeared before Magistrate Deidra McKenna at the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Monday, May 12.
Michael Farnum was charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, and trafficking of 2,200 grams of cannabis, which has an estimated street value of $8,800. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of $6,000. He is scheduled to return to court on Friday, May 16, 2025, for sentencing.
Richard Farnum, who faced similar charges in relation to 47.34 kilograms of cannabis with an estimated value of $189,360, also pleaded guilty. He was granted bail in the amount of $90,000 and is also expected to reappear for sentencing on May 16.

Two Christ Church men are facing multiple drug-related charges following a police operation conducted by the Serious Organised Crime Unit of the Barbados Police Service.
Richard Edward Farnum, 34, and Michael Vincent Edward Farnum, 36, both of 1st Avenue, Vauxhall, were arrested and formally charged in connection with a drug bust that occurred on Friday, May 9, 2025, at their residence.
According to police, Michael Farnum is accused of being in possession of 2,200 grams of cannabis, with an estimated street value of $8,800 Barbados dollars. His brother, Richard Farnum, is charged with possession of 47.34 kilograms of cannabis, carrying a street value of $189,360.
Both men have been charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking in cannabis, and possession with intent to supply.
They are scheduled to appear before Chief Magistrate Ian Weeks in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on today.
