The Roger Boyce IFBB Pro World Cup aims to attract more than 200 athletes for the fourth edition, scheduled for 2026, says lead organiser and former Mr Barbados, Roger Boyce.
Following a resounding success last weekend at the Wildey Gymnasium where the third year of the event unfolded, Boyce said he was already excited to see what the next chapter of the event holds.
“In 2026, we want to make the event even bigger. We are hoping, once everything goes to plan, to have in excess of 200 athletes in Barbados. We will be working closely with the IFBB to make this happen. So, we are looking forward to a bigger and better event come 2026,” Boyce told MIDWEEK SPORT.
This year, there were 125 athletes, with Suriname being among the standout countries, having brought over 30 athletes. The Roger Boyce IFBB Pro World Cup, which started with just three countries, has now evolved into an international spectacle with 36 competing nations, including powerhouses France, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine.
