A 47-year-old Christ Church man has been charged with three cannabis offences following the seizure of 47.5 kilograms of suspected cannabis on Friday.

Ishan Saquan Alleyne, of Town House #8, Fordes Road, Clapham, Christ Church, was arrested and formally charged by the Barbados Police Service Narcotics Unit.
He was charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply and trafficking of cannabis.
Police estimated the street value of the drugs at $237,500.
Alleyne is scheduled to appear in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Monday.
