Guns and ammo seized in joint Police and BDF operations

Police have seized four firearms and a quantity of ammunition as part of ongoing investigations into recent murders and robberies across the island.

According to a release from the Barbados Police Service, the discoveries came during a series of targeted operations carried out in collaboration with the Barbados Defence Force in recent days.

Several individuals are in custody and are assisting with ongoing inquiries related to the seizures.

The Barbados Police Service says it is using all available resources to tackle what it describes as an untenable situation and is assuring the public that it remains committed to restoring safety and security. (PR)
