Fogging this week in St Philip

St Philip will receive the full attention of the Vector Control Unit when it carries out its fogging programme next week.

The team will start in Sandbox Avenue, Cactus Avenue, Begonia Close, Union Road, and Seaview Road on Monday, June 30.

The following day, Tuesday, July 1, they will visit Hope Land, Cave Land, Friendship Drive, Crane Lodge, Pounder Road, Crane/ iamond Valley, Union Road, and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, July 2, Union Road, Sandy Hill, and neighbouring districts will be fogged.

The Unit will target Kirtons Nos. 1 to 3, Cave Land, and environs on Thursday, July 3.

The fogging exercise for the week will conclude on Friday, July 4, in Emerald Park, Emerald Park West, Nursery Road Nos.1 and 2, Four Roads, Mangrove Terrace, and Kirtons.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.

Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time. (BGIS)
