Employees of GCG Barbados staged a brief work stoppage this morning at Grantley Adams Industrial Park, Charnocks, Christ Church.

Some were seen outside holding placards, but were quickly back on the job.

Deputy general secretary of the Barbados Workers Union Dwaine Paul said it was caused by changes management sought to introduce, but there was no discussion with staff.

Both parties agreed to meet on Wednesday to hammer out the details and workers went back inside.

GCG Barbados – formerly Goddard Catering – is part of the GCG Group which operates in 21 locations across the Caribbean, Latin America and Central America. It specialises in airline ground handling and industrial catering.  (SAT)
