Public schools will close for summer break this week.
The last day of school for students will be Thursday, July 10, while teachers will proceed on vacation after Friday, July 11.
Eight weeks have been allocated for the 2025 summer holidays. The new school year 2025-2026 will begin with a planning week for teachers from Monday, September 1 and end on Friday, September 5. Students will return to the classroom on Monday, September 8.
The Michaelmas term (Term I) will run for 14 weeks, ending for students on Thursday, December 11, and for teachers on Friday, December 12.
During this term, there will be Teachers’ Professional Day on Friday, October 17, and the mid-term break on Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October 24. (BGIS)
