UPDATE: Murdered man identified

The man who was shot and killed in Holetown, St James last night has been identified by a relative as Devontay Boyce, 21 years, of Risk Road, Fitts Village St James.

Police say Boyce – “along with other persons” – was in the carpark of a business around 11:30 p.m. when they were approached by a group of men who disembarked a vehicle and discharged a number of shots, injuring him and two others.

He was taken by car to a private medical facility where he succumbed to his injuries.

This is homicide No. 29.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information that may assist, to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1800-8477, Police Emergency 211 or Holetown Police Station at 419-1700 or 419-1730. (PR/SAT)
