CARIFTESTA XV, the region’s premier showcase of culture and heritage is being staged in Barbados from tomorrow through August 31, and the island is rolling out the red carpet.

Signs at the Grantley Adams International Airport, billboards at the roundabouts and along the highways, banners in The City as well as a major push in traditional media and on social media have been spreading the message.

Many activities will be held at the CARIFESTA Village at Waterford, St Michael, but lovers of the arts can feast – literally – on the signature dishes of the Caribbean nations, take in a play, enjoy a dance or theatre production and support the work of the artists.
