Man charged with firearm and ammunition offences

Update: Brian Ricardo Yearwood, 23, of Merricks, St Philip, has been remanded in connection with firearm and ammunition offences.

Yearwood appeared before Magistrate Deidre McKenna in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court earlier today. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences of possession of a firearm and possession of 16 rounds of ammunition, allegedly committed on September 26.

He was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service at Dodds. The matter has been transferred to the District “C” Magistrates’ Court for hearing on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Brian Ricardo Yearwood, 23, of Merricks, St Philip, has been arrested and charged in connection with firearm and ammunition offences.

The Barbados Police Service formally charged Yearwood with possession of a firearm and possession of 16 rounds of ammunition, both offences reportedly committed on September 26, 2025.

He is scheduled to appear at the District “C” Magistrates’ Court, located at the Oistins Magistrates’ Court, today.
